Lets Go Ranger's

Kelly has a wonderful friend who just celebrated his company's 5th year anniversary.

CONGRATULATIONS to Shannon and Anna Nave and Nave Engineering!!!

As a part of that celebration he and his wife purchased a suite at the Texas Ranger's game today and he invited us to join them. We were honored that they thought of us on this very special day for them. It was an absolute perfect day, except the Ranger's lost, but I am not going to let that bring me down. They came back to tie the game in the bottom of the 8th inning, only to give up a run in the top of the 9th to the A's. They were unable to pull out that Ranger Magic, as they have done so often this season, to win the game.

It was very HOT today but that did not stop Madeline from cheering on her favorite players Kinsler, Young, and Blalock. She was sad that Josh Hamilton was not in the line up. It was Madeline's 4th game and she is becoming a big fan. After the game Madeline got to run the bases and I was very proud of her as she rounded third with a big smile on her face and jumped on home plate as she has seen the Ranger's do after a walk off home run. At our last game she was given a ball hit during batting practice and we have tried for the last 2 games to get it autographed with no luck. She and I are planning on having a girls day at the Ballpark where we get there early and try yet again to get it autographed.

Rebekah went to her 1st game and seemed to enjoy running around and eating anything she wanted, although she did not pay too much attention to the game. She did cheer loudly and clap whenever we did, she seemed to love just to make noise.

Kelly and Rebekah waiting for Madeline and me to finish with getting pictures ~ They are the smart ones sitting in the shade while Madeline and I stand in the 97 degree heat

Madeline learned to ride her 2 wheeler a few weeks ago. She had her first major spill tonight coming down a moderately sloped driveway and missed the turn. She has a scraped knee and elbow and an ugly jammed thumb ~ swollen, black and blue ~ she can still bend it so thankfully it is not broken. Proud of her, she got right back on it right after the bandaids went on.

I've been wanting to get this up but lost my firewire in the move and kept buying the wrong one to replace it. Needless to say, I have how bought the correct firewire and I am back in the buisness of putting video clips of my kids doing only things I find interesting on the web. Anyway, whoever watches this I hope you enjoy it.

conquering fear

It is spring time in North Texas and with spring comes severe weather and with severe weather I run and hide. I grew up in Northern California and experienced only 5 severe thunderstorms, THEN I moved to North Texas. I have been living here for 12 years now and have NEVER got use to these storms. However, tonight (though the storm had passed and was well into Arlington) I was able to watch the "beauty" of lightening from a distance. This is not to say that I have conquered my fear of severe thunderstorms ~ there still is that whole tornado aspect to them ~ but it is a step in the right direction.
